Event Basics
This page gives a brief overview of the basic concepts of events in Shameless Booking and how they are used. More specific details can be found on the linked pages, or by browsing the “Events” section in the menu.
Events
In the Shameless Booking system, an event can represent anything you might want to sell tickets for – Horseback rides, boat tours, escape rooms, appointments, and so on. An event can be something which happens only once, or it can be something which happens on a recurring schedule, or even something which happens on an irregular basis.
Categories
Categories allow you to group together similar events to make it easier for your customers to find what they are looking for, categories are an entirely optional feature which are handy for systems with a lot of events.
Schedules
Events operate on a schedule specified by you. A schedule can be as simple or as complex as you want it to be, for example:
“Once, on January 30th 2022”
“Once per month on the 3rd Tuesday”
“Every Monday between Jan-Sep except if the date is the 13th, 14th, or 15th”
