If an event schedule is changed or modified, and there are existing bookings which no longer match up with the event schedule, these events will be classified as Orphaned Events. Orphaned Events are not cancelled, they remain active and will appear on the Dashboard and Calendar pages as normal. If you wish to remove them, it has to be done manually.
You can view a list of all Oprhaned Events by visiting Bookings -> Events Manager -> Orphaned Events.
From this list, you can then manage the events as you see fit. you can choose to leave them as they are, or to take action – Reschedule, Raincheck or Cancel the tickets.
Interactions with new bookings
The system will prevent any booking which would overlap with an Orphaned Event, even if the overlap is only a few minutes. This may cause some days or times on the new schedule to be unavailable for booking, but it will also ensure that no double-bookings occur.
